- Lot Description
Japanese, Early 19th century. Arita blue and white porcelain rectangular handleless tray with undulating rim surrounding depiction of rounded provinces in Japan identified with Kaisho character marks. Geographical portrayal with land in white and water in blue spirals. Marked on bottom with four character marks in blue under glaze. Tray or plate approximately 10" x 11.5".
Condition
Small discoloration to glaze. Tight fracture to upper quadrant; not distracting.
