- Lot Description
Jamali (Indian, b. 1944-), "Abstraction # 6915", mixed media on cork, apparently unsigned, with gallery label to verso "Jamali Art and Peace Inc. 1545 Palmer Ave. Winter Park Florida 6915". Gestural and organic abstract painting with burnt orange and rust hues. Framed approximately 62.75" x 44.75". Sight approximately 58" x 40".
Condition
Cork material is mounted to foam board. Losses to paint surface in upper quadrants; including scattered losses to black, rendering black surfaces somewhat unstable, circular loss to orange pigment at upper right and scattered loss to red surface in upper left. All losses commensurate with having had close contact with glass or plexi in frame. Under black light examination, no apparent repairs.
