- Lot Description
Ivan Albright (American, 1897-1983), "Follow Me"-1948, lithograph on wove paper, pencil signed lower right margin, titled in pencil lower left margin, published in an edition of 250 by the Associated American Artists (AAA). Modern figural art print depicting a male monk standing in tunic robe with scapular and cowl, rope belt with beaded rosary, hands clasped at waist with crucifix in a stark monastery interior. Man with wrinkled brow on face and knotted hands. Framed approximately 21.125" x 16". Sight size approximately 14.5" x 9.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia. Reference: Grayson Croydon 14.
Condition
Examined out of the frame. Sheet attached to back mat board with two pieces of hinging tape each applied to sheet over an older tape remnant. Sheet overall with even toning, also with very minor scattered areas of foxing. Sheet apparently not cut down - retains lower and left deckled edges. Minor rippling and discolorations to edges commensurate with light handling. Overall apparently no tears, abrasions, losses, or pinholes.
