Italian, 18th century. Neoclassical inlaid walnut commode having a grey molded rectangular marble top over a case with single frieze drawer and a pair of long, deep drawers, each cross-banded and veneered with stringing and having individual locking mechanisms, the two bottom drawers centered with medallion inlaid with flowering urn raised on square tapered legs. Approximate height 35.12", width 49.5", depth 22.75".
Structurally sound and overall very good condition. Minor scratches to the marble top. Locks and drawer pulls not original. No key present. Finish is refreshed with warm patina and glossy finish. Prior worm damage. Scattered scratches, nicks, small abrasions and minor old veneer patches as would be expected with age and usage.
