- Lot Description
Italian, 19th century. Carved giltwood wall mirror with vertically aligned beveled looking glass within dentilated frame with florals in corners, circular Neoclassical crest with male's head in profile with ribbon tied in hair topped with tied ribbon bow, serpentine ribboning and leaf tips interwoven at top and bottom. Approximate 41.5" x 25.25".
Condition
Minor chipping to gilt finish. Broken ribbon cresting (see image 6). Possible prior repairs to top & bottom elements, specifically the ribbon cresting. Scattered areas of prior wormwood damage to back (can slightly be seen in image 6). Mirror has been replaced.
