Painting depicts a meandering river through the center of the painting with a tall mountain stretching up in the background, a pair of boats on the river each holding a pilot and a pair of passengers, with lush autumnal trees and brush on far right bank and near left bank, with a sandy beach in immediate foreground. Framed approximately 36.75" x 56.75", unframed approximately 30" x 50".
Painting on canvas laid down on board. Visible craquelure or alligatoring, however, paint layer appears to be stable. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
