Hermes (French, founded 1837). Circa 1975 designer Hermes “Les Cavaliers d’Or” silk twill scarf with gold ornate necklace at center with twisted cord, animal and figural motifs. floral and scrolling elements, necklace ends with blue enamel work and men resting on horseback, surrounded by gold jewelry with figural scenes including a comb with warriors fighting, all against red ground. Title in rectangular cartouche in upper center reading "LES CAVALIERS D'OR, lower center with "HERMES PARIS". Lower right corner with "RYBAL" for Vladimir Rybaltchenko designer of this pattern. Overall measures approximately 35" x 34.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Karen F. Rohrer of Tucker, Georgia.
