- Lot Description
Herend (Hungarian, 20th century). Fine hand painted porcelain lidded urn in "Chinese Bouquet" pattern with floral and leaved clusters with undulating fern leaf banding in multicolored palette and gilt accents throughout, primarily in banding and on scrolled foliate leaf handles on white ground. Marked on bottom in blue "HEREND HUNGARY" in arched space above shield above crossed paintbrushes and "HANDPAINTED" with additional marks for pattern and date "LLLO1AF". Vase or lidded urn later converted into electrified lamp. Table lamp with cream colored tapered shade with vertical loose threading decoration. Approximate height to top of bulb socket 17.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Rebecca Aggrey.
