American, 19th century. A large copper watering can with rainfall spout, loop form handle, and everted cylindrical body. Approximate height 13.25", width (spout to handle) 21.75", diameter of base 8.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
Overall with even oxidation to exterior. Interior with rich green patina. Scattered dents, dings and surface scratches throughout commensurate with age and use. No apparent signs of repair. Underside with wear commensurate with use.
