- Lot Description
Chinese, likely late 19th/early 20th century. Blue and white porcelain ginger jar of typical form, exterior hand decorated in Hawthorne motif with white cherry blossoms on textured blue ground, circular fitted lid with hand decorated Hawthorne border top with cloisonne work of the same theme. Unmarked. Approximate height 9.3", diameter of opening at top 3.4".
Condition
Tight fracture to interior of lid approximately .75". Glazing imperfections from matte to glossy finish.
