Text in English and French, engraved frontispiece with numerous engravings throughout depicting ancient vase forms and decoration. Interior flysheet with handwritten script inscription that reads "To, Robert S. Brown, Esquire" with illegible text and dedicator signature dated "May 28, 1850" above "From the Library of ???? Calascibetta, Palermo".
