- Lot Description
French, 20th century. A collection of six hand painted Limoges porcelain pill boxes comprising three of rose blossom or bud form, one of red chili pepper form, one of purple plum form, and one tall white cylindrical box with pink painted flowers. Each box with a bronze or brass hinged collar and marked on body as Limoges. Tall white box approximate height 4.75". Small red rose bud box approximate height 1.625".
Condition
Cylindrical box with repair to hinge. Box does not close tightly; shows gapping (see image #7). Chili pepper box with minor wear to painted finish particularly at hinge/lid (see image #6). Rosebud with numerous glue repairs. Interior shows fractures (see image #2).
