- Lot Description
Stevens & Williams (English, 1847-1930), circa 1880. Group of three Victorian cased glass footed vases, attributed to Stevens & Williams, comprising a cased vase with pink interior and amber ruffled and folded rim over a white body with applied decoration of a spray of white/pink cherry blossoms and on leafy amber glass branches, the base resting on six amber feet modeled as one scrolling thorny branch; a cased peachblow vase with white interior and amber ruffed and folded rim, the body with applied decoration of one cherry blossom and two cherries on leafy amber glass branches, the base resting on four amber feet modeled as one scrolling thorny branch; a cranberry glass vase with an applied pointed and pulled clear glass mouth over a cylindrical neck mounted to both sides with applied clear branch form handles continuous to the foot, the body decorated with applied leafy clear branches hung with two cobalt grapes at the neck, the bulbous body mounted with two amber pears along with two applied feet. All vases apparently unmarked. Approximate height of pink interior vase 8.6", height of white interior vase 8.25", height of cranberry vase 8.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Condition
Possibly one of more are Bohemian. Vase with pink interior is blacklight reflective and uranium infused. Two petals with repairs only noted under blacklight. Vase with white interior blacklight reflective and uranium infused. There are included bubbles (under the surface). Cranberry glass has a minor chip to one petal. There are included bubbles and seed bubbles and near the pontil surface bubbles.
