• Lot Description
  English, first half 19th century. A group of three Staffordshire transfer print black and white earthenware platters comprising an oval platter inscribed en verso 'Stone China Grecian Scenery' with scrolled borders, detailed central panel with figures in classical architectural settings; platter inscribed en verso 'London China Park Scenery' with rococo form detailed central panel pastoral scene with cows and grazing sheep with architecture in the background ; and an unmarked scalloped platter depicting a countryside with a family near river bank fishing, stone bridge, cottages and city in the distance. Approximate height of Grecian scenery 1.8", width 17.12", depth 13.6". Approximate height of Park scenery 1.6", width 18.5", depth 15.4". Approximate height of countryside platter 1.6", width 16.8", depth 13.6".
