English, late 19th century. Group of 3 mother of pearl satin glass vases comprising a mother of pearl satin vase with ruffled, crimped and folded mouth decorated all over in the rare 'Peacock Eye' air trap in deep rose shading to very light pink on circular foot with rough pontil; tall ruffled and crimped long neck mother of pearl vase in the quilted diamond air trap pattern in cranberry to light pink satin with finished pontil; a mother of pearl lemon yellow satin glass vase with bowl style mouth over a body decorated in moire air trap pattern and finished pontil. Apparently all 3 vases are unmarked but in the manner of Mt. Washington (Boston, MA. Founded 1837). Approximate height of peacock eye vase 9.4", height of quilted diamond vase 13.25", height of tree bark vase 9.6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Peacock Eye vase has a bruise approximately 3" up from the foot (see image #4 center right). The quilted diamond vase has two minute surface bubbles in between a crimp at mouth, and created during production. There is also very faint fine stress lines extremely short, and just barely visible under another crimp probably created during production.
