American, first half 20th century. A group of two sterling silver coin purses with chain handles comprising one by Webster Company (American (Massachusetts), 1869-1950) with plain domed front and back covers with interior left side with two hinged covers, a hinged partition with mirror, and interior right side with cigarette or paper money holder and pull out charcoal pencil, with short chain attached at top to back cover, the front with art nouveau style monogram "MAS"; and a second case or wallet of unknown maker with scrolling and floral repousse exterior decoration with leather lined interior with flap front pocket, mirrored partition with address card to verso inscribed "Mrs. J. P. Jordan, Jr. 912 Park Avenue, Norfolk, VA", alternate side with envelope pocket, with short chain attached at top to back side of case, inscribed to case front at center "Nina". Monogrammed case marked above mirror "Sterling" beside maker's mark. Repousse case marked to interior edge "Sterling" beside illegible second mark. Monogrammed case approximately 3.5" x 2.5" with a 5.5" strap drop. Repousse case approximately 3.25" x 2.25" with a 5.75" strap drop.
