June 4, 1810. by Edw. Orme. London.", figural satirical caricature print depicting two men, one bewigged, the other with wig under arm, both seated at a table strewn with empty bottles, spilt wine and parchment, the man on the right appears to have lost consciousness after heavy consumption, while the man on the left attempts to revive him with offers of more libations, print with accompanying text from "The Passions Humorously Delineated" which narrates the scene; and "The Rapid Effects Of The Cheltenham Waters"-1810, hand colored engraving, created and engraved by Giles Grinagain (English, fl. 1801-1807), published by Samuel Howitt (English, 1756/57-1822), inscribed in lower left margin "Giles Grinagain invt. et fect.", inscribed in lower right margin "Published Dec. 18. 1801. by S. Howitt Panton Street", titled in lower center margin "The Rapid Effects Of The Cheltenham Waters.", additionally inscribed in lower center margin "Effets prompts et merveilleux des eaux purgatives de Cheltenham.", monogrammed in lower right corner "G.L.", figural satirical caricature print depicting a queue of impatient men and women outside a privy, suffering from the diuretic effects of the Cheltenham waters.
