- Lot Description
Graham Vivian Sutherland (British, 1903-1980), "Sutherland Sketchbook"-1973, etching and aquatint on paper, pencil signed lower right margin, limited edition noted in pencil lower left margin "A 11/15" above publisher's blind stamp for 2RC Editrice. Surrealist modern print depicting a vasew tih architectural, organic and animal forms emerging from footed vessel. Framed approximately 13.125" x 11.125". Sight size of sheet within floating frame approximately 9" x 7". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
Condition
Item not examined out of frame as we do not want to disrupt the integrity of the work. Edges darkening. Sheet does not appear to be cut down. No signs of rips, tears, holes or water damage. Light wear to corners from light handling. No signs of creases or fold lines. Sheet with light even toning. No signs of foxing. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
