- Lot Description
Continental, late 19th or early 20th century. Gilt bronze dresser box , with a hinged lid inset with a marble mosaic roundel of white roses on a black background, encircled in an inlaid turquoise border, the lid and body each with an impressed leaf band, both bordered in inlaid turquoise. The upper and lower corners and front are set with inlaid turquoise flowers with gemstone centers. Raised on four bun feet with lock at lower center. Lined in blue silk. Approximate height 3", width 8", depth 5.7".
Condition
Vintage condition. Top roundel is loose and needs to be re-glued, with allover white foxing. Metal tarnished, missing stones. Interior is soiled, with odor present.
