- Lot Description
Gigi Gallant (American/ California, d. 2009). "Abstracted Woman", mixed media on canvas, signed lower right "gallant". Painting depicts a woman at shoulder length with deep set, hooded eyes in shadow holding a somber look on her face, with dark hair piled atop her head that is over painted with a bird's nest on a tree branch and other indistinct forms, the background of composition being an abstracted floral landscape in tones of green and yellow. Framed approximately 30.25" x 30.25", unframed approximately 28" x 28".
Condition
Light scattered craquleure in some areas however paint layer appears to be stable. Under black light examination, a few minor retouches not noticeable to blind eye or distracting. No signs of rips, tears or holes. Excellent condition overall.
