German, early 20th century. German oak tall case, hall or grandfather clock with dentil pediment over a ogee cornice and square panel door inset with beveled glass and enclosing the brass and gilt circular dial with Roman numerals, unsigned, time and strike with Peerless gong by Mathias Bauerle, the glazed and beveled trunk door opening to a twin weight and pendulum driven (missing) interior flanked to each side by split molding over a base with dentil trim and recessed square panel centered with mounted nut and foliage carving on ogee plinth base. Approximate height 78.25", width 25.5", depth 13.75".
Movement is unable to be checked due to lack of pendulum. Pediment is missing a piece of dentil trim molding and a piece of wood trim. There is rubbing and scuffing to the left side of trunk vertically and to the left side on the split moldings.
