Max Rothmaier (German (Salzburg), 20th century), circa 1920s. An Art Nouveau cast bronze wall thermometer and barometer with figural porcelain plaque, the tall form with undulating ribbons adorned with flower blossoms and pods surrounding a vertical mercury thermometer at bottom measuring degrees Celsius, a round barometer dial at center inscribed in German with various weather conditions, and a convex porcelain medallion at top depicting a young woman in the manner of Alphonse Mucha (Czech, 1860-1939). Porcelain marked to verso "XXX" and "8603". Approximate height 20.5", width 7.5".
Weather station is in very good condition overall with no repairs, damages, or losses. Medallion (not examined out of case) has all enamel intact with no nicks, chips, or scratches. Some scattered patination throughout the bronze commensurate with age.
