English, first half 18th century. A fine Queen Anne carved walnut wing or easy chair have a tall, arched padded back and shaped sides joined by outscrolled arms to the removable cushioned seat raised on front cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Approximate height 49", width 29" (arm to arm), seat depth 19", seat height 15.5". Property from the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
Structurally sound though some joints are loose (unable to examine under fabric to determine). Front right leg loose with traces of old glue to braces. Some evidence of old screws in brackets and braces; possibly old replacements. Brackets on each side of legs have different finish, probably old replacements. Fabric is worn and faded. Scrolled arms with loss of fabric.
