- Lot Description
George Koppany (20th century), "Venetian Scene", acrylic on canvas, signed lower right. Cityscape painting depicting a modern and stylized view of Venice, Italy with tall buildings rising out of the water with scattered figures in gondola boats in tones of red, green, yellow and orange. Framed approximately 41.25" x 29.25". Unframed approximately 36" x 24".
Condition
Minor craquelure visible on thicker impasto areas. Minor surface scratches in top area (perhaps just defined due to use of palette knife). Canvas slightly loose on stretcher. No signs of rips, tears or holes. Under black light examination, little to no signs of in-painting.
