- Lot Description
20th century. Figural bronze garden sculpture fountain in the form of a nude wingless putti or cherub holding a scaled fish in raised hand, putti with short curled hair and balancing on one leg in the manner of Andrea del Verrocchio. Fountain with piping through fish's mouth for playful and artful flowing of water, verdi gras patina throughout. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 31.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Overall with oxidation throughout. Scattered areas of corrosion, concentrated on legs and face of figure. Minor surface scratches throughout.
