Don Ruseau Inc (American (New York) 1930 - 1990), 20th century. French country style walnut commode having a serpentine molded top over a conforming case with three long paneled doors and bombe paneled sides above a scroll carved apron raised on squat cabriole legs terminating on scrolled toes. Branded mark to the exterior of top drawer, 'Don Ruseau Inc. New York City". Approximate height 31", width 53.5", depth 20". Note: Don Ruseau Inc, located at 415 East 53rd Street in New York City was known for fine custom French reproduction furniture.
Structurally sound. Overall very good condition. Top has minor surface scratches commensurate with contact/usage. Walnut has aged finish with warm patina. Second drawer is missing two dividers. Third drawer lining stained and there is a small odor. Some minor bubbling, puckering or lifting of drawer liners. No key present.
