French, 19th century. A petite or diminutive vitrine or display case with serpentine curved sides and convex curved edges with glass top, front, back, and sides, glass front door opening to interior with a glass shelf and two rows of display space, and gold velvet lined base and corners, case decorated with classical vegetal motif ormolu mounts, raised on four cabriole legs terminating in bronze sabots. Approximate height 34", width 27", depth 18.75"
Vitrine in good condition overall--structurally sound with no signs of wobbling. Glass top with small surface scratches from use. Wooden surround on top with several scattered discolored spots likely from moisture. Interior lining with scattered discoloration commensurate with age. Minor loss to wood finish on front apron--not particularly distracting. Minor wood loss to front left leg near sabot. Oxidation to gilt elements commensurate with age. No other signs of damage, loss or repairs.
