French, 19th Century. A mahogany veneered vitrine of half round astragal form, the red and white veined marble top surmounting the frieze with central ormolu mounts comprising classical motifs including baby satyrs carrying a putto on a garland palanquin, flanked by garlands of flowers and masks over horizontal garlands with quiver and torch motifs and classical musical instruments framing the glass front door with central ormolu masks flanked by cornucopias and corner paterae, opening to case interior with two glass shelves and three rows of display space, with mirrored back and two curved side windows, over base rail with central ormolu acanthus scrolls, all raised on four toupie feet terminating in brass lotus sabots on small ring turnings. Approximate height 57.25", width 37", depth 14.5".
Vitrine in overall very good condition with all brasses intact. Finish appears to be original. Top has repair at back corner of left side. Front of marble top exhibits a slight chip. Wood in good condition without much noticeable lifting to veneer or abrasions. Glass in good condition. Legs and feet in overall good condition.
