French, 19th century. A Louis XV style stained oak tall case clock having an arched molded cornice over a conforming paneled glazed door opening to a repousse accented face having lovebirds amidst floral decoration and circular porcelain dial with applied porcelain Roman numerals, the waist section having a arched paneled door inset with shaped glazed pendulum door opening to a lyre morbier pendulum above a trunk door having raised panel decoration and raised on front squat cabriole legs with scrolled toes united by a scroll and foliate carved apron. Approximate height 96", width 19.25", depth 12.5".
Case is in overall very good condition. Probably circa 1820's oak and chestnut. The dial could use minor cleaning. Hour indicator is broken and the prongs for the numerals are loose. Bell is loose and movement would benefit from servicing and cleaning. Weights are stamped 3K500 which is appropriate for the movement.
