- Lot Description
French (movement), 19th century. A Louis XIV style marquetry inlaid bracket clock with caddy handled top over a second tier with artichoke finials above the arched glazed door enclosing the dial with brown velvet and gilt-metal chapter ring with Roman hour numerals, every minute numbered to outer track, above a figure of Apollo appearing to be holding up the dial reclining on engraved plaque signed Marguerite A Paris, raised on toupie feet. Approximate height 21.75" (not including handle). width 12.75", depth 8.5".
