French, Early 19th Century. French Louis XIII style carved oak writing or library table, the six board rectangular top with wide foliate border over a two frieze drawers centered with hidden foliate escutcheon, on barley twist legs with patera blocks and joined by a barley twist H-form stretcher, centered with a turned finial and terminating in bun feet. Approximately 29 5/8" tall x 59 7/8" wide x 42 3/4" deep.
Table is structurally sound. Typical staining with scratches to top. The molding is damaged 2" on the left side and 1" to the front. Replaced running boards. Trim board under molding is loose on left side requiring nail.
