French heavy gilt bronze and alabaster clock with figural mount at top of young nude wingless Cupid figure or putto holding object (likely originally, pulling back on bow and arrow) riding on the back of a elegant panther or lioness. Figural group above rectangular clock base with circular white enamel dial with black Arabic numbers (hinged door missing protective crystal) surrounded by lattice motif ground and two oblong musical still life vignettes in relief. edges with beaded border. Overall raised on four textured bun feet. Approximate height 15.75", width 15.5", depth 6".
Cupid figure is missing an element in his hands, probably a bow & arrow. Oxidation & patination to bronze. Scattered small chips to corners on base & areas of scuffing on marble, commensurate with age. Missing back right foot toupie. Missing glass cover over dial. Crack to dial at the 12 mark. No key present.
Clock has been wound with another key & is currently in working order. However, we do not guarantee it to continue working. Servicing & cleaning is recommended.
