- Lot Description
French, late 19th/early 20th century. A Directoire style mahogany and polychrome decorated marble top sideboard or server buffet having a rounded and molded breakfront rosso levanto marble top over a conforming case with single frieze drawer mounted with applied parcel giltl rinceau above three painted cupboard doors, the center decorated with torch and quiver motif, the whole raised on four toupie style legs. Apparently not marked. Approximate height 36.37", width 54.62", depth 22.5".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some nicks, scratches, and dings overall, with some losses to polychroming. Accretion/abrasion to edge of back leg. Some paint splatter to reverse. Unable to inspect one interior cabinet, no key. Expected wear to interior of other cabinets and drawer. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
