Francisco Torregrosa (Spanish, b.1953- ). Three abstract expressionist style paintings on laid paper, each ink signed. Group comprising one watercolor in purple, mustard, and green with a human eye depicted upper center amid an entanglement of line; one acrylic in green, yellow, red, and orange, with gathering of wide strokes with a narrower black line creating form over the fields; and one acrylic in crimson, yellow, and black with lattice pattern to lower portion of field. Each unframed sheet size approximately 27.25" x 20.25". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ann Jacob of Highlands, North Carolina.
(1) Watercolor work in purple, mustard and green. Light water damage to corners. Some handling creases to corners. Very light undulation of sheet commensurate with application of watercolor. Visible bleeding of colors to lower left and right quadrants; more distracting on verso than recto. Under black light no apparent repairs. (2) Acrylic in green, yellow, red, and orange. Some handling creases to corners. Undulation of sheet commensurate with application of acrylic. Under black light no apparent repairs. (3) Acrylic in crimson, yellow, and black.
