Chinese, first half 20th century. A collection of four narrow vertical framed porcelain wall plaques with hand painted outdoor figural scenes, one with an elder dressed in orange robes with a staff standing before a rocky cliff wall with dog in background, one with a young person approaching a miliary group below a tree, one with a young man kneeling on a mat with top half exposed as an elder above him appears to conduct acupuncture, and one a scholar or royal figure seated at a table with a bearded standing figure behind him. Each plaque to a stained wood frame with arched iron hanging apparatus at top. Each with black calligraphic marks above a red square seal mark. Each framed approximately 39.875" x 14", plaque approximately 30.5" x 8.375". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
Plaques not examined out of frames. Each with visible dirt and grime--all would likely benefit from professional cleaning. One with visible loss in frame to lower left corner on porcelain plaque. All with remnants of residue on edges, likely from previous mounting. Wooden frames with scattered losses and some with separation. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
