• Lot Description
  Waterbury Clock Company (American/Connecticut, 1857-1949), first quarter 20th century. Art Nouveau figural alabaster and gilt metal mantel clock having winged robed figure of "Victory" surmounted the alabaster plinth inset above the circular white porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals with logo "JoB", the eight day movement strikes on coil on half hour and hour and is signed "Waterbury Clock Company" and "PATENT Sept 13, 1898". Figure is also signed. Approximate height 10.87", width 12.25" (foot to foot), depth 8" (foot to foot). Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Herbert R. Matthews, Sr. and Mrs. Patricia Matthews of Atlanta, Georgia.
