Fernand Leger (French, 1881-1985). "Parade" - 1953, lithograph in colors on Arches paper, published by Galerie Maeght, limited edition 154 (possibly 156) of 300, pencil numbered lower left margin, publisher's blind stamp lower left sheet corner, monogrammed and dated within plate lower right. Fanciful print in vibrant colors depicting circus performers surrounded by the tools of their trade, the figures and forms in black line set before organically shaped fields of pink, yellow, blue, orange, teal, and yellow. Sheet approximately 22" x 30".
Item unframed and not laid down. Deckled edge at right and bottom. Light wear to edges and corners from handling. Evidence of toning and mat burn from previous framing. Remnants of old hinging tape visible at top and bottom on verso. Small tear to paper on right side at upper center running approximately 0.25". Colors rich and saturated. No signs of further holes, water damage, or losses.
