Russian, 20th century. Faberge (Russian, founded 1842) style silver and enamel cigarette box (also called cigarette case, cigarette holder). Cigarette case with rectangular form, hinged lid with three distinct borders including rectangular blue enamel outermost border, rectangular white enamel interior border with cube and dot motif in each corner with two green enamel flower and leaf ornaments, and with five finely engraved lines forming inner-most border, with crowned two-headed Russian eagle (state heraldic symbol) with shield with halo border comprising 22 small diamonds (21 small single-cut and 1 modern round cut brilliant diamond, all of approximately equal size) and genuine cabochon cut ruby (GIA clarity: SI1; medium red color), with gold wash interior. Stamped on interior bottom with 84 zolotnik mark indicating silver, with head facing right indicating production after 1908, with A for St. Petersburg; with Faberge mark in Cyrillic KF; with maker’s mark H.W. likely for Henrik Wigstrцm (active 1903-1917), a known workmaster for Faberge. Approximately 3.75” x 2.75” x 0.75”. Total weight 168 grams.
