Russian, 20th century. Faberge (Russian, founded 1842) style hand made silver and cloisonne enamel cigar case of cylindrical form with rounded top on fitted cylindrical lid with borders with white beading, interwoven lattice banding in red with green dots within, lappet borders, with additional florals and geometric forms. Body with similar borders containing scrolled foliates, flowers and dots on white ground. Stamped on bottom with 84 zolotnik mark with triangular mark for Moscow in oval above additional mark with F.R. in Cyrillic, possibly for after Faberge workmaster Feodor Ivanovich Rьckert (Russian, 1840-1917). Overall approximate length 7.5", diameter at bottom 1.1". Total weight 155 grams.
Scattered surface scratches and oxidation to metal surfaces, commensurate with age and use. Very minor losses and pitting to enamel surface. Painted elements with scattered loss. Residual polishing material throughout; may benefit from light professional cleaning. Some wear to gold wash, more prevalent on base; commensurate with use. Under black light examination no apparent repairs.
