Russian, likely late 19th /early 20th century. Pair of Faberge (Russian, founded 1842) style fine 14 karat rose gold, silver, guilloche enamel, and diamond men's cufflinks. Each cufflink of circular form with ultramarine guilloche enamel behind crowned two-headed Russian eagle (state heraldic symbol) within bezel accented with halo of rose cut diamonds, each with almond shaped ultramarine guilloche enamel toggles. Stamped on back of cufflink and closure with oval containing 56 zolotnik mark indicating 14 karat gold, acid tested as 14 karat gold quality, with head facing left indicating production prior to 1908; with additional oval mark with maker's mark MP in Cyrillic possibly for Michael Evlampievitch Perchin (Faberge workmaster from 1860-1903). Note: Michael Perchin was a senior workmaster for Faberge. Alternate spellings of Michael Perchin include: Michel Perchin, Mikhail Perchin and Mikhail Perkhin.
Scattered surface scratches and oxidation to metal surfaces. Some radial enamel loss to both cufflinks on recto. Closure with some enamel pooling and separation between enamel and surrounding almond form. With dirt and grime; may benefit from light professional cleaning.
