Florence Green (American (New Jersey), b.1882). "The Sharecroppers" - 1969, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left of center. Naturalistic painting depicting an American genre scene with a red brick plantation house at center with corn and cotton fields to front yard and barns and outhouses to left and right sides with various figures working the fields under bright blue skies at harvest time. Inscribed to verso of stretcher "3/27/69 J.C.W." and "Florence Green 448-3328". Framed approximately 25" x 28.75", unframed approximately 20" x 24".
