- Lot Description
Etulu Etidlui (Canadian (Cape Dorset), b. 1946- ), circa 1991. Hand carved serpentine stone Inuit sculpture in the form of a seated arctic fox scratching its ear with hind foot. Unmarked but accompanied with copy of certificate from Government of Canada noting artist, title and date. Approximate height 3.9", width 6.25", depth 4". Provenance: The Estate of Mr. Joseph Gilbert, purchased in 1991. Copy of purchase receipt available upon request.
Condition
Veining and scattered minor abrasions throughout commensurate with natural material. Scattered fleabites to base edges and right ear. No other apparent losses, chips or fractures.
