English, 19th century. Regency sarcophagus form tea caddy with tortoiseshell veneer throughout with ivory border accents on interior with two tortoiseshell lift off lids to access storage within. Overall raised on four wooden bun feet. Approximate height 5.6", width 7.25", depth 4.4".
Overall good condition. No key. There are some cracks to the tortoiseshell (for example see image #7). There are some minute chips to veneer and lose of inlay. There is interior fractures at hinges (see image #3). Remnants of foil lining to interior compartments (see image #4). Chip to rim front corner (see image #7).
