- Lot Description
English, 19th century. Regency tortoiseshell sarcophagus form tea caddy with with hinged lid that opens to ivory edging on interior with two lift off lid covers with round ivory knobs that reveal storage within, overall raised on ivory ball feet. Approximate height 4", width 6.4", depth 3.75".
Condition
Some uplifting of veneer and cracking to the top of the caddy and the interior removable lid. Losses to foil lining in interior. Chip to the back interior. Small shrinkage, losses and restorations to the veneer. Chips to the corners of the box.
