English, early 19th century. Regency mahogany bracket shelf clock with triangular shaped pediment over a decorative molding and circular glazed door with painted dial with Roman numerals, single-train fusee movement, the sides mounted with drop ring handles over a reeded molding and rectangular plinth base. The dial is signed, faintly visible. The wall mounted bracket with rectangular top over a swelling and tapering body terminating in a gilt metal turned finial. Approximate height of clock 16.5", width 11.25", depth 5.5". Approximate height of wall bracket 12", width 11.75", depth 6".
Clock is in working condition. Missing key to side that opens front glazed door to dial (see image #3). Door is not locked however and accessible. There is cracking and lifting to the veneer w/ patches//repairs. Missing tiny piece of dentil trim at pediment. Dial shows corrosion and some fading to the Roman numerals and signature. There is a chip with wood loss to bottom of case at front. Bracket shelf top shows wear from contact with clock as well as some lifting with repair/patches to veneer.
