English, late 18th/early 19th century (circa 1790-1815). A late Georgian mahogany inlaid sideboard with oak secondary wood surmounted by a tall brass gallery comprising three ring turned balusters with ball and point finials joined by a cylindrical rail, over a breakfront top with mahogany crossbanding surmounting the frieze with central drawer lined in dark brown felt fabric with two lion mask backplates with ring pulls over a central arch, flanked by a cellarette drawer with six bottle compartments to the right and cabinet door to the left, allover decorated with mahogany crossbanding and astragal form lightwood stringing, all raised on tapered legs on spade feet. Replaced backboard. Approximate height 56", width 62.25", depth 82".
Brass gallery exhibits very slight green patination, top exhibits slight worming, slight abrasions and surface scratches, losses to wood and veneer at front right edge of top and edge of right side, left door exhibits horizontal split through center, legs exhibit very slight abrasions, slight surface scratches to feet commensurate with age and use.
