English, first quarter 19th century. A coach or livery style brass barrel flintlock blunderbuss, circa 1815, with a top sprung bayonet released by sliding catch on tang, a full sidelock flintlock mechanism with flat lockplate, a French style swan neck hammer with floral engraving, the lockplate being engraved "Dunderdale Mabson & Labron", engraved brass trigger guard with acorn finial, a bridled powder-pan and a roller on the frizzen spring, with brass capped walnut ramrod and stock, and cannon form brass barrel. Gun with likely original external screws, springs, and parts. Barrel approximately 15" long, overall approximately 41" long with bayonet extended, 30" with bayonet closed.
All original components (flint, powder stick) are intact. Original stock. Spring loaded bayonet is active & functional. Barrel obtains original patina. Some oxidation occurring to finish. Scattered areas of scratches & scarring, commensurate with age & usage.
