• Lot Description
  Elizabeth Cain (American, b. 1949-), "Bathing with Buddha"-1985, oil on canvas, signed, dated and titled to verso "Elizabeth Cain (c) 1985 "BATHING WITH BUDDHA 60" x 54"", with artist's business card to verso, with plaque delineating artist, medium and title to right side of frame. Impressionistically rendered figural painting with soothing soft-hued palette and gestural handling depicting a Buddha figure in the foreground and a slender, statuesque nude female in the midground. Framed approximately 60..25" x 55". Unframed approximately 60" x 54". Note: Elizabeth Cain was educated at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She currently resides in Savannah, GA and has exhibited extensively in the southern United States.
