• Lot Description
  Elgin National Watch Company (American, founded 1864). A gold filled hunting cased pocket watch with 17 jewels. The white watch face with black enamel Roman numeral dial and a secondary stopwatch dial at the 6, with blued steel hands. The case exterior with floral motif to one side and scrolled shield form to other. Marked to interior of back cover and movement cover "Warranted 14k L.S Assay L&S 15227" and engraved with family names and birthdates. Movement marked "G. M. Wheeler" and "10808158. Also with gold filled chain. Approximate diameter of case 50.8 mm. Approximate diameter of face 44.5 mm. Length of chain approximately 5.75" Approximate overall weight 143.6 grams. Note: Glass crystal is missing.
