- Lot Description
Edward Hald (Swedish, 1883-1980), for Orrefors, circa 1927. Scent bottle, cologne bottle, or perfume bottle designed by Edward Hald and engraved/cut by Ragnar Bergkvist (active 1921-1930), with circular faceted and cut stopper with long tapering dauber, the urn form bottle with slightly flaring mouth over a spreading paneled neck engraved with a series of net filled diamond patterns, the tapering body engraved with hung curtains or drapery decorated with floral motif with five sections opened by an Art Deco nude female in different poses. Acid etched signature to the underside 'Orrefors. Hald. 479.27. R. Approximate height 8.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Condition
Overall very good condition. Dauber has two included bubbles (under surface). No chips, cracks or repairs noted.
